The "repair" has been the same as before, which is a thin cord attached to the cistern flush system.
This is the same cord which has been vandalised at least five to six times to my knowledge.
I am sure it will be vandalised within a few days, a week to 10 days at best.
IN OTHER NEWS AROUND BATHURST:
Council spends and gets support to promote the city as a tourist destination.
The art gallery is part of this experience and the use of public facilities in a clean and tidy state is part of the experience, like it or not.
Council is doing the city no favours in ignoring requests or being tardy to respond to what is an essential repair for health reasons alone.
The "repair" undertaken will not fix the issue and will result in additional costs to the council and ratepayers.
