Previously known as Kurt Davis Carpentry, Alchemy Build & Construct has been servicing Bathurst and the surrounding region for almost four years. Director, Kurt Davis, said being his own boss was just part of the reason for setting up his own local business. "While I've always wanted to be my own boss, there was a gap in the market, most builders are solely focused on new homes yet there was a lot of demand for extensions and renovation work," he said.

The company provides new home builds, home extensions and additions, renovations, restorations and other carpentry services, and Kurt said all work is carried out by a small but dedicated team. "There are three of us on the tools, myself, Matthew who is a 3rd year apprentice carpenter and Josh who is almost a fully qualified tradesmen carpenter," he said. "My wife Emma works behind the scenes and we also work with a select group of local contractors".

While Kurt credits their current Kelso location as a major benefit to the business given it's near a high portion of client jobs, storage facilities and local businesses which they use regularly, he said that local support was the key to their success. "We are passionate about building and will always work to the highest quality to exceed our customer's expectations," he said. "We listen and work with our clients, we always use and support local businesses, and are happy to support our community at any opportunity.
