And that challenge is made even greater if you do not have an accessible premises.
So the access grants now available through Bathurst Regional Council are a great way to support both the local business community and local people with access difficulties.
Offered in conjunction with the Bathurst Regional Access Committee, the council grants help local small businesses and non-profit organisations improve access and inclusion to their premises.
Businesses and non-profit organisations within the Bathurst region may apply for funding of 50 per cent of project costs, up to a maximum of $5000, on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
Projects must be completed within the 2019-2020 financial year to be eligible to apply for a grant.
For more information or an application package, contact council's community services department on 6333 6523 or visit council's website at www.bathurst.nsw.gov.au. Applications close at 4pm on Friday, August 30.

"Well, you are definitely fast enough to be playing."
Fast enough to be playing? Definitely not. Faster than a fifth grader, though? You bet.
