Just a week after their 83-point Katrina Hobby Memorial win over Orange the Giants once again welcome the Tigers to George Park 1.
Giants can expect a hungrier Tigers compared to last Saturday, given the Orange women surrendered second place to the Bathurst Bushrangers thanks to their defeat.
However, both Gilchrist and the Giants squad aren't interested in seeing their undefeated run brought to an end.
Gilchrist, a former NSW/ACT youth representative, joined forces with the Giants this season and has enjoyed being back in the Central West fray.
"I had last season off and most of this season off so it's taken a while to get there [to the 50 game mark] but I've finally got it," she said.
"I'm originally a Bushranger and I moved to Sydney to play over there for a bit. This is my first season for the girls, and even though they only had their first season last year it's a real family group.
"They really get around each other and it's a great group to be a part of."
Giants have thus far proved a cut above the rest of the competition.
Their 12-13-85 to 0-0-2 trouncing of Orange last Saturday showcased the team's cohension they've built up over the years.
They really get around each other and it's a great group to be a part of.
- Mariah Gilchrist on the Bathurst Giants
Gilchrist, who has been involved in six of the Giants' eight games this year, said the team's run comes down to the efforts they put in outside of match time.
"We train Mondays and Wednesdays and we train hard," she said.
"We've been trying to get the little things right before focusing on the bigger skills and that's how we've done things all season and it's worked out for us so far."
The spotlight will be thrust upon the Giants-Tigers match since no other CWAFL games will be taking place this Saturday.
"This should be a pretty good match against the Tigers again," Gilchrist said.
"Without having any other games on it could be a bit tough with a bigger crowd. Should be an interesting game.
"We're not too sure what to expect from them this time around."
Giants currently hold an eight point lead over their nearest rivals Bushrangers.
They will look to build on their intimidating for-and-against record which currently stands at 574 to 62.
The Giants-Tigers game starts midday.
