The morning tea at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre also featured many of the other Living Legends that have been inducted in recent years.
The Living Legends project was introduced in 2015 as a bicentenary initiative to acknowledge outstanding members of the community for their dedication, determination, personality, work and contribution to the city.

Each Living Legends is honoured with a tree and plaque on Bradwardine Road on what is becoming one of Bathurst's great avenues.
This year's Living Legend inductees are Marie Billington (for services to Bathurst cultural and community life); Barry Cubitt (youth, seniors, villages); Andrew Fletcher (cultural, community); Ian McArtney (cultural, indigenous); Dr John Sandra (community); Ian Warren (sport, community); Millie Watson (agricultural, business, villages).
