The circus opened for the first time in Bathurst on Friday night and residents have been eager to get inside the big top.
"We have good sales and a rush to buy tickets because the best seats sell very fast," Circus Rio director Yuriy Abrosimov said.
As well as the sights and sounds of Brazil, audiences have been treated to acrobatics, aerial students, juggling acts, comedic clowns and head-scratching disappearing acts by the illusionist.
Mr Abrosimov said even he didn't know how they were done, saying it was like they were teleporting.
"The people start in one place and disappear from nothing and appear on the other side of [the] circus," he said.
From this week, FMX bikes will also be part of the Circus Rio program and add some electrifying stunts to the shows.
Circus Rio is the biggest circus in Australia and has 35 people who keep the operation running, many taking on multiple roles.
Mr Abrosimov said the Carnival-style show is not only entertainment for the whole family, but also serves as inspiration for people.
"The people of Bathurst can come to teach their kids and families that if you're fit, doing good training and stuff, how people can be beautiful and strong and look absolutely amazing, incredible," he said.
Circus Rio will be in Bathurst until August 18 at the showground. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate.
