After a disappointing fortnight to end the regular season, CSU responded by crushing Mudgee 72-12 in last week's Ferguson Cup elimination final.
It means Dom Huggett's side will carry confidence into this Saturday's sudden-death semi-final against West Wyalong at Cowra.
"Things have turned around, I'm confident in the girls and confident in the attitude really, it's something we were missing for like six weeks," Huggett said.
"I don't think Mudgee had their best team, but in saying that, I think we deserved all those tries and we worked hard."
The return of Laura Belfanti and Bridie Gordon play a crucial role in CSU surviving the first week of finals and that duo shape as important figures again this Saturday.

Having watched West Wyalong go down 64-0 to Bulldogs in their qualifying final - a game in which the Bathurst backs ran in 10 tries - Huggett knows where his side need to direct their attack.
"I do feel like we can really target their weaknesses in defence and really attack with that footy. We'll be attacking wide most of the game," the coach said.
"With Laura's passing game and Bridie's direction, we've got skilful forwards. So we'll be pushing wide, attacking those fringes and making their forwards really work.
"I watched little bits of their game and you know, when you come off a 60-point loss in a final there are only two ways from it. Some teams drop even further and some teams react and reach an even higher standard.

"So it should be pretty interesting to verse West Wyalong. In all honesty, I don't think they'll play their best footy in the finals, they are down to like one player on the bench at the moment and that's very difficult for them."
CSU and West Wyalong will do battle from noon in Cowra.
Meanwhile, CSU's second grade New Holland Cup outfit will be attempting to book a grand final berth on Saturday.
After an impressive 20-11 win over a strong Dubbo Rhinos in the minor semi-final, the students will square off against Mudgee.
It will be another big test for CSU as the Wombats have won two of their three prior meetings this season, but the students will be determined to impress on home soil.
That match kicks off at 1.45pm at University Oval.
