Pat's were going into Saturday's game against Wanderers as heavy favourites, and if an in-form Parkes United had been able to score a win over Lithgow Panthers then the Saints would shoot to the top of the table.

However, the Lithgow and Parkes match was agreed to be a draw by both sides, which left Pat's with an unassailable point differential to make up.

Upon hearing that news the Bathurst and Orange clubs were happy to also share the points in their game.

That means Pat's now prepare to travel to Lithgow this Saturday to face the Panthers for the first spot in the grand final.

The trip doesn't bother Pat's captain Shane Conroy or his team.

After a victory at home against the Panthers in their most recent clash there's plenty of confidence around the Saints camp they can make it happen again.

"Once we heard Parkes and Lithgow called it a draw we were happy to call our game a draw and make it fair across the round. We would have had to win by quite a margin anyway and we never went into this round thinking we could get first," Conroy said.

"It doesn't matter whether we play here or there. We've had great results over there in semi-finals and finals over there years."

Parkes hosts Wanderers in the minor semi-final.
