At this time of year, when a lot of local produce is out of season, the co-op relies on Sydney markets to stock the store.
Coordinator Denise O'Grady said that there was sometimes a limited supply of leafy greens, but it was the bulk supplies, such as sunflower seeds and Australian-grown rice, that were hardest to source.
"We have people who only want to buy Australian-grown rice, but there is just no supply available at the moment," she explained.
Thankfully, there hasn't been much talk from local suppliers about not being able to provide stock in the coming months.
The only one who has a question mark over them is the cauliflower grower, who has serious water concerns.
"It's heartbreaking. That is one of our purposes for being here, to support [farmers], and hearing that local farmers may not be able to keep going, it's heartbreaking," Ms O'Grady said.
She feels it is important for people to support the farmers while they are going through this tough time and an easy way to do that is to buy local produce when possible.
"I think it is imperative that the locals do support the local farmers," she said.
