That's why St Pat's are more determined than ever to lock up a place in both grand finals this Saturday.
The women's major semi-final between minor premier Orange CYMS and St Pat's this weekend will determine the location of both grand finals, with the winner of the men's game between the Saints and Lithgow Panthers also set to play at the same ground.
Women's mentor Jaden Ekert, just back from another title-winning coaching tilt with the men's Hockey NSW country squad, isn't done chasing more championships.
"The girls are pumped. I haven't seen them this excited for a long time. In saying that, we've got to go over there and get the job done," Ekert said.
That's exactly what St Pat's didn't do last time they travelled to play CYMS.
Their 4-0 loss at the hands of CYMS back in round three served as somewhat of a wake up call for the Saints early in the season.
"Lucky for them I was away during that game," Ekert quipped.
"We just have to be better regardless of what turf we play on and whatever we do.
"We really want to re-write the book of last year where we should have had a home grand final but we didn't get it. This year the chance has been presented to us and we want to fix it."

They played a much improved game in the most recent clash with CYMS but the 3-1 defeat proves the Orange squad still have their measure.
Outside of two quick goals for Orange the game was a much more evenly balanced affair.
Ekert knows his side have it in them to tip the scales in their favour.
"We haven't lost a game for a long time now and the game we played against CYMS here in Bathurst could have fallen either way," he said.
"That's how close we are. It's now a matter whether we can travel there with confidence."
Meanwhile the men's side will be on a mission to once again get the better of the Lithgow Panthers as they did just a few weeks ago, but this time will have to do it away from home.
On top of that, Pat's will be expecting a much stronger Panthers outfit.
"Lithgow had five out for that game and I think nearly all of them were on Country duties," Pat's coach Niel Howard said.
"It's a feather in our cap that we beat them convincingly. Hopefully we can repeat it but I'm expecting a tougher game this weekend.
"We've still got one player under an injury cloud this weekend and Jaden away coaching the girls but apart from that we're at full strength with four on the bench."
Howard said the minor premiership was the first goal on the list but the failure to achieve that aim can teach the team plenty of lessons.
"We wanted the top finish but a couple of games let us down. Players on representatives duties sometimes hindered us but there were days where we just weren't good enough," he said.
CYMS and the Saints play at 1pm while the Saints and Panthers start their game in Lithgow at 1.25pm.
