AUGUST is shaping up to be one of the whitest months on record around the Bathurst region with more snow forecast for Monday.
In the wake of the region's white weekend last Saturday and Sunday, the Bureau of Meteorology's MetEye website is predicting more to come early next week.
MetEye is showing snowfalls beginning early Monday morning to the south of Bathurst around Shooters Hill and then spreading further west through Blayney and Mount Canobolas by 10am.

Snow showers are expected above 800 metres but the good news for motorists is there is no sign of falls at this stage to the east of Bathurst.
The Great Western Highway between Bathurst and Lithgow was shut by snow and ice several times over the weekend, creating havoc for travellers trying to get to Sydney for sporting fixtures, appointments and holidays.
