The theme of Education Week was 'Every Student, Every Voice' and this message resonated with everyone at Kelso Primary School as they worked hard to ensure that all of their students were valued and cared for.
Deputy Principal-Special Education, Melanie Woolmer said it had been a busy and exciting week.
"We celebrated Education Week with our student representatives attending the Education Week opening ceremony, representing our school with pride."
Students from Kelso Primary School excelled with Random Acts of Kindness being performed across the community and towards each other.
Stage 3 students visited Opal Retirement Village and shared stories with the residents, over cookies that they had made especially for the occasion.
The fantastic Bathurst community showed their support with Bathurst Lions Club allowing each child the opportunity to choose a book as part of the amazing 123Read2Me project.
Parents/carers showed a high level of interest observing the fantastic learning opportunities happening in the classrooms each day before enjoying a well-earned,school morning tea.
The generosity and kind-spirited nature of the community was evident with children, families and even local businesses getting together in their support of the Envision Hands, charity bottle cap collection which assists children around the world.
