Education Week at Bathurst Public School was a load of fun for students, teachers and the community in which they engaged.
Everyone loved celebrating and got into the spirit with all activities and celebrations and were extremely busy.
On Tuesday, August 6, children from the Primary Choir and Circus Troupe, along with Mrs Café and Ms Hattenfels, attended 'Opal' aged care facility in Stanley Street to perform songs and circus routines as a 'Random Act of Kindness'.
It was wonderful for the children to visit and give back to the community and sit and talk to the residents. The children had a wonderful afternoon sharing their skills and hearing many stories. Thank you to Mrs Cafe and Ms Hattenfels for preparing the children and accompanying them.
Students from Bathurst Public school thrilled the audience with their spectacular voices and mesmerising routines.
But the real winners of the visit were the way the students engaged with everyone and how they loved the conversations they had with the residents and connecting with the community.
This initiative was so successful the children have vowed to make this a regular event.
Schools captains, Mia, Josh, Evie and Sam also hosted the Bathurst Network of Schools Education Week Ceremony and the Circus Acro children entertained the audience.
