IT wasn't the prettiest of matches but importantly for St Pat's it was a win.

The Saints ended what's been a dour Group 10 premier league season on a high note when they saw off a determined Blayney Bears side 30-24 at King George Oval.
Neither side managed to get a run of momentum in the closing clash of their respective seasons but it was with 12 minutes to go where Pat's enjoyed a winning moment.
Mick Latu crossed the stripe for his second try of the day and in the process would help the Saints secure just their fourth win of the year.
Incoming player-coach for 2020 Zac Merritt said the win-less Bears forced the Saints to earn every point.
"It's great to get the win. It was a pretty scrappy game. Blayney obviously didn't want to go through the whole year without a win so they really turned up to play," he said.
"It felt we were always going to win because we had a couple of strike weapons in our side but it was really hard to get any momentum."

Bears and Pat's went back-and-forth across the whole first half, exchanging tries until the score was 14-all at half-time.
Pat's tried to hold onto a 24-20 try but an unconverted response from Jake Crooks made for a tense finish.
Latu's go ahead try would prove to be enough for the Saints as they celebrated their first win since the previous outing against the Bears in June.
Merritt said Latu's performance was one for the young player to remember.
"He's a good young kid and he showed a lot of courage today. It was probably one of the toughest games he's had in his life," he said.
"He had a busted mouth and busted nose but he kept playing on and scored the winning try. It's a real credit to him.
"Garry Reilly was great. He's been good the last couple of weeks for us. Traie Merritt was really solid today and McCoy White went really well. He passed the final ball to set Mick up for the final try which sealed the deal."
Attention at the club now turns towards the Saints' other three grades who are all finals-bound from this weekend.
