Come along to a workshop at historic Rankin Cottage from 10.30am to noon and learn how to do candlewick embroidery. Candlewicking is a form of embroidery that traditionally uses an unbleached cotton thread on a piece of unbleached calico. It gets its name from the nature of the soft spun cotton thread, which was braided and then used to form the wick for candles. Visit www.facebook.com/rankincottagecrafts/.
