The beloved character will appear in the fur for a series of presentations for schools and the general public at the Bathurst Library from Wednesday to Friday.
Bathurst Library staff member Chris Halpin says the chance to meet Spot will be a great opportunity for all kids.
"Books Plus helped us get a Spot costume for the week " Mr Halpin said.

"Spot is so well known and the whole thing is for the kids. The kids love Spot and love the Book Week events."
Mr Halpin added that the events as open to anyone in the community with plenty of people - young and old - expected to line up for the opportunity to meet Spot.
"We have school sessions and then public sessions which everyone is welcome to come to," Mr Halpin said.
"It's a big week for us and so far the numbers are getting up around 800 kids over the three days."
Spot the Dog books will be available for purchase courtesy of BooksPlus. There will also be a "Draw Spot" competition with the chance to win prizes.
