WHEN the Bathurst Bulldogs' first XV run out onto Ashwood Park this Saturday for the Blowes Clothing Cup grand final, there will be just three men who know the feeling that comes with a top grade premiership in yellow and blue.

Flyhalf Scott Johnston, number 8 Alex Weal and lock Adam Dwyer are the only members of the 2010 Bathurst Bulldogs' premiership winning outfit who are still members of the first XV.
That year the Bulldogs beat a highly fancied Narromine Gorillas outfit 27-15 at Cale Oval.
It was a sweet moment as it came after back-to-back grand final defeats in 2009 (44-7 versus Narromine) and 2008 (32-12 Dubbo Kangaroos).
"It was a big game because we'd lost the two before it, we lost the grand final in '08, '09 then we won in '10 - it was good to go up to Narromine and win that, it was a pretty hostile sort of crowd," Dwyer recalled.
"I remember Tonk [Phil Tonkin] scored two tries, I'm not going to say he won the game for us though.
"I also remember myself getting a pretty good split in the eye - like 20-15 stitches, something like that.
"Some of those guys that played in that, we still talk to them all the time. It's a great memory for us."
This Saturday Dwyer is hoping to create more great memories as his Bulldogs take on Orange Emus in the Blowes Clothing Cup grand final.
That it will be played at Ashwood Park - Bulldogs' home turf - adds to the occasion.
The closest Dwyer has come to playing in a home grand final before was in his first season for Bulldogs in 2004.
That year the grand finals were played at Carrington Park and Dwyer scored the only try of the match - a 39th minute effort - as Bulldogs beat Orange Emus in the colts decider.
"It's too long between drinks," Dwyer said.
"I've never had a home GF, 2004 was my first year at the club and I've never had a home grand final. So it's refreshing it's really good to have it and it's been a long time coming.
"It really does mean a lot to the people in the club and the supporters too."
