WOULD a pipeline from Lake Lyell, near Lithgow, to Oberon Dam or Chifley Dam be a feasible part-remedy to the current situation affecting Bathurst and other centres along the Macquarie River?

Lake Lyell is currently near capacity, has greater storage than Chifley and a reliable catchment.
Bathurst also needs a direct pipeline from Chifley and a rainwater harvesting scheme (which Orange has had for some years).
