The Bureau of Meteorology's MetEye website shows that show is expected in the region on Thursday morning.
Forecasts show the heaviest falls will be around 7am on Friday when snow is expected in Jenolan Caves and through parts of the Blue Mountains near Katoomba.

The region has seen a number of snowfalls and road closures due to alpine conditions this winter, including heavy falls in high country areas earlier this month.
Orange shivered through two of its coldest days on record earlier this month during the snowfalls.
