The shopping centre, located in Windradyne, is in the process of a $10 million upgrade that has dramatically increased the amount of parking available and more than doubled the footprint of the centre.
Thanks to the expansion, the shopping centre can now offer a pizza outlet and childcare centre, in addition to new shopfronts and offices throughout the precinct.
Leasing is being handled by Raine and Horne Bathurst and Bathurst Real Estate.
Mick Whittaker said it has been "a little bit hard" to find tenants, but he expected interest would increase in the coming months, when people could see the end result of the two-year-long development.
"Once it is complete, new and prospective tenants are going to see significant benefits in opening businesses there," he said.
"There has been a new cafe opened, and from all reports that is doing really well, but once the car park is finished and then IGA has expanded right across the end of the complex, I think you'll find there's increased activity."
He added that when new business does open, it encourages others to start up.
"As one business opens, it encourages people to come, which means then that encourages another business to open. As they say, businesses creates business," Mr Whittaker said.
"The product and what they're providing up there is really first class and they've got an enormously big catchment, up to 15,000 people that Westpoint Shopping Centre could effectively service."
He further praised the development, saying that Westpoint had been in need of a revamp to continue to cater to the growth of surrounding suburbs.
"I think it was a must. The satellite shopping centres hold an important part of the fabric of our communities," he said.
"That Windradyne-Llanarth area is growing and they're good spots to live. We do often find when we are selling some of the homes up there that being within walking distance of that shopping centre is a selling point."
