The National Motor Racing Museum was an incredibly popular location in Bathurst on Saturday as families took Dad to see a snapshot of Australian racing history.

Around 200 people had come through the doors before 11am on Sunday, with nearly 80 of those being dads who had gained free entry.
This was the fourth year of the museum's Father's Day event, which included free entry for dads, a chance to explore the displays and rides around Mount Panorama in historic cars.
One of the patrons there on Sunday was Murray Kenny, who had driven up from Pakenham, Victoria several days prior with his 26-year-old daughter Bronte.
It was a trip they had always wanted to take and they made the journey in their restored 1976 Toyota Celica.
"I've watched the car race for probably the last 40 years and I always swore I was going to come up here," Mr Kenny said.
"We've done up our old Celica ... we did that up last year and we decided we'd do a road trip up to Bathurst, just Bronte and I."
They started off Sunday with breakfast and followed it up with a walk around the Mount Panorama circuit.
When they finished, they went to the NMRM and were pleasantly surprised to learn that there was free entry for fathers.
Mr Kenny said he found the museum quite interesting.
"It's nice that they've got a lot of the Bathurst cars here and it's good to see the motorbikes, too," he said.
Mr Kenny was not the only visitor to make a significant journey to Bathurst.
There was also a family visiting from the Sunshine Coast and one man came all the way from New Zealand to take a ride in the Cortina.
Bathurst Regional Council's museums manager, Janelle Middleton, said she anticipated there would be 400 people through the doors on Father's Day.
"We're attracting people from all over, but the main purpose is about attracting locals and giving something for dad's to do on the day," she said.
People who visited the museum could also wander over to pit lane, where there was a show and shine of vehicles from the Horseless Carriage Club of America.
