Mr Perfect: Mental Health's Mate runs in 23 locations across Australia, where men meet once a month for a barbecue, catch up and can chat about their struggles.
Mr Perfect was launched by Terry Cornick five years ago, after going through some personal mental health issues.
"He gave me some medication and specialist's referral but they told me they don't prescribe anything social, exercise or fitness," he said.
"I then read a report about men's constructiveness, which stipulated that the amount of time men over 30 that socialised with others had gone down dramatically."
"I thought maybe we could do a casual, local meet-up with other men in Sydney. We could have a kick-around, going for about two hours. So we posted on Gumtree and we were amazed at what happened, with a lot of people showing up.
"It was great to see so many people feeling better-off afterwards, after getting out in the sun and chatting to people they didn't know."
Mr Cornick said that as Mr Perfect grew - the first group was based in Surry Hills - the demand for it grew.
"People were coming from quite a far while away, so they asked, 'Do you mind if we set one up in our area?'" he explained.
Mr Cornick said he's interested in meeting and speaking to people in the Bathurst region who would be interested in coming on board with Mr Perfect and organising monthly catch-ups.
"I think people get a lot out of it," he said.
"They get to meet new people and it brings the community together."
There are three Mr Perfect barbecues based in regional Australia - Maitland and the Victorian towns of Echuca and Benalla.
