The company farewelled Ms Evans in style yesterday with an afternoon tea to recognise her valued contributions to Glenray over the past four decades.
Ms Evans said she's going to miss all the wonderful friends and her productive tea towel folding methods.
"I've loved managing the tea towels, and the goal has always been to ensure they're neatly stacked for pack-out," she said.
"My time here has been very enjoyable, and I'm sure going to miss it."
One of Ms Evans' best friends is Dorothy 'Dotti' Hancock, who tied the knot with long-term partner Matthew Barker at a commitment ceremony two weekends ago.
Ms Evans will continue to have a presence with the company through her residency at Glenray Village and participation in the Lifestyle and Learning program.
To celebrate her retirement, Ms Evans will embark on a cruise around Sydney Harbour with a close friend.
"Loretta's rarely had a sick day and as a family member, I'm really proud of everything she's achieved," brother Mark Evans said.
"She's the best person I've ever met, and is well respected by everyone who is close to her."
Glenray accommodation manager Julie Price said Ms Evans has been a "valued member of the company through her outstanding community work and energetic rapport with peers."
