In the countdown to this year's event, organising spokesman John Trollor admits he won't be terribly disappointed if it happens again considering the dry that has gripped the district.
But if the weather is warm and sunny this Saturday, as the forecast suggests, then Mr Trollor is hoping for a bumper crowd for the fair at the Perthville Community Hall.
"It's an annual event that is the major fundraiser for us so we can maintain and run the hall and consider developments for Perthville," he said.
"The Perthville Development Committee, also called the Perthville Neighbourhood Group, meets regularly for that purpose - to look at maintenance and renting of the hall and the development of Perthville."

The whole community pitches in to make the day a success, he said.
"We get sponsorship from local stores and the firies come on board," he said.
"There are a lot of people who live in Perthville and work elsewhere and they usually help."
The fair will feature market stalls with crafts, craft supplies, clothing, jewellery, lapidary, garden art, mosaics, woodwork, plants, drone technology, fishing lures, stationery, scrapbooking, patchwork quilts, bird feeders and wind chimes.
"We will have stalls in the hall and the whole of the grounds," Mr Trollor said.
As well, there will be a cosmetics display, live music, barbecue (with "superb bacon and egg rolls" available), coffee, ice-cream and a giant raffle.
The Perthville and Georges Plains Rural Fire Service will also have a display.
The Sisters of St Joseph will conduct two guided tours of the Perthville Convent Heritage Centre on the day at 11am and 1pm sharp of approximately one-hour duration.
The tours will cost $5 per person.
The Perthville Village Fair will run from 9am through to 3pm this Saturday, September 14.
"We would just like to invite everyone to come along and help Perthville," Mr Trollor said.
