A crew and tanker from the Fire and Rescue NSW Station 216 Bathurst departed from the Central West on Wednesday morning, headed for northern NSW to form part of a strike team to battle out of control fires.

The team is anticipated to travel to Tamworth first before being directed to where they are needed most.
The crew is expected to be anyway for at least five days.
Fires in Bees Nest, near Armidale, and Drake, near Tenterfield, remained out-of-control as on Tuesday morning.
