According to Supercars.com this is the latest start time in the race's 57-year history and the later time is to ensure the race maximises the afternoon sunlight and finishes closer to the prime time television window.
On Sunday, October 13 the Toyota 86s will start at 7.45am and race for about 20 minutes.
The big engines start will start warming up at 11.05am when the drivers take to the racetrack and the 2019 Bathurst 1000 is ready to begin.
Sunset is scheduled for 7.13pm on the day and organisers are anticipating the end of the race will take place before last light at 7.37pm.

Thursday and Friday will bring start of practice and briefings for all drivers.
On Saturday the fun begins with the end of practices, some demonstrations and the Touring Car Masters and Porsche Carrera Cup.
The Dunlop Super2 Series will start at 3pm and the podium will take place 41 laps later.
The highly anticipated top 10 shootout is scheduled to start at 5.05pm on Saturday and will take approximately 45 minutes.
Opening hours at the track are from 7am until the end of the last race from Thursday to Sunday.
