Bathurst Taxis has a new look, after changing up its logo while making life easier for customers with new technology.
Gone is the old logo which featured red and black colours, with Bathurst Taxis opting for sky blue and navy blue colours.
And instead of having the words 'Bathurst Taxis' on the car, the transport company has opted to have the shortened 'Bx Taxis' title on its vehicles.
Bathurst Taxis has also introduced a mobile app, which Dean Shadbolt believes will make life easier for both the taxi driver and the customer.
"You can book as far in advance as you want, so if you want a maxi cab for Christmas, you can book it now," he said.
"We've also got a new phone number. The main reason we switch over was because if you called the old number, you were taken to a list of options and then to the call centre. This new number goes straight to the Bathurst call centre.
"If you rung the old number, you also received additional charges to your phone, so this new number will help save money for the customer and Bathurst Taxis."
Customers can also register their bank card with the app, however, they are not required to and can still pay for the taxi in cash or with their card in person.
"We've worked hard in the past months to improve our services, to make things a bit easier for everyone," Mr Shadbolt said.
The new app works similar to those used by pizza companies, where you can track where the pizza delivery driver is but in this case it's the taxi driver.
"It's like big brother is watching you," Mr Shadbolt said.
"Once you make your booking, you can see the taxi driving towards your location, which is a fair estimate of where they are."
The new Bathurst Taxi number is 6325 0022.
The rebranding of Bathurst Taxis comes after ride-sharing service Uber arrived in the city last December.
Since Uber arrived in city, Bathurst Taxis have called on the local community to continue its ongoing support of the local business.
