The event, hosted by the CWA Bathurst Evening Branch, saw 106 entries from a host of marmalade producers across NSW.

Event co-ordinator Jan Young said the judges were impressed with the overall standard of the entries.

"We awarded nine gold medals, which is roughly par for the course as one in 10 entries generally receive top honours at judging events," Ms Young said.

"Cowra Salvation Army captain Mark Williamson picked up three gold medals, which was well deserved as he brought some beautiful blends to the table."

The event also saw 18 silver and 24 bronze medals awarded.

Ms Young said the number of entries was a positive result for the inaugural event, with all profits set to go towards endometriosis research.

"The entry fee for each jar of marmalade was $10 and with 106 entries, we've managed to raise $1060 on entrants alone," she said.

"We also ran a breakfast yesterday morning for members of the community to sample the marmalade entries, which served as an additional fundraising activity."

Ms Young said the favourable response to the event has ensured it will make a return next year.

"We want to thank everyone who has helped make this event a reality and we've had a great bunch of ladies step up to give us a hand," she said.

"There wouldn't be a festival without our entrants and volunteers, and we hope to see the event grow in 2020."
