And the entrants are coming in fast, but the Edgell Jog committee is expecting a majority of the sign-ups to happen on Saturday and on Sunday morning.
"We're about the same as last years, in terms of registrations. They're rocketing but Tuesday might slow it down with all this rain," committee member Ray Stapley said.
"Every day this week we've got about 40-50 entrants and I'm hoping to have about 500 by Friday. People will have a look at the weather and leave to the last minute though. That's the way it is."
As of Tuesday morning, the committee had receive 248 entrants.
And interestingly, Mr Stapley said he had only received 10 paper entries.
"It's unbelievable," he said.
"We use to get hundreds but now it's changed and everyone can do them online. It's just easier for them."
Mr Stapley encouraged people who were yet to sign-up for the Edgell Jog to do so by 3pm on Friday, to go into an early bird draw.
"We've got some good prizes all round and from what we've heard, we've got more prizes at the Edgell Jog than at other events," he said.
He also thanked the Bathurst Regional Council for their continued support once again.
"The council has supported us once again this year, which is very important with traffic management. That's the big tough one for us each year," Mr Stapley explained.
"This year, we're also going to live stream the jog through Facebook. It's going to be done by the Stannies boys.
"They're going to have a drone at the beginning and will film the start. They can't travel around the course, due to regulations but this live streaming will be fantastic and it'll help raise the profile of the jog."
The Edgell Jog will start out the front of the Bathurst Court House on Russell Street and will take participants 7.5 kilometre circuit around town, before finishing back at the court house.
Prior to September 20, tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for children and $50 for a family, costly slightly more on Saturday and Sunday.
The jog starts at 9.30am.
