Vandals spray-painted graffiti over various parts of the shelter, including windows, covered walkway supports and the brickwork.
The graffiti attack comes four and a half months after the bus shelter was officially unveiled in May alongside a covered walkway connecting the shelter to the school's administration block.
The state government committed $120,000 towards the bus shelter, and member for Bathurst Paul Toole expressed disappointment towards the act of vandalism.
"This shelter provides protection from the sun and keeps commuters dry when it rains and an act like this is just disgusting," Mr Toole said.
Bathurst mayor Graeme Hanger also condemned the graffiti attack, but commended the irregularity of such acts in the region.
"It is disappointing that this vandalism has occurred, however we are fortunate that we have very few incidents like this in our city," Mr Hanger said.
"Most of the community respects the facilities we have and this was a senseless act of vandalism."
"Incidents of graffiti and other acts of vandalism can be reported to Bathurst Regional Council by calling 6333 6111."
