A vast array of Bathurst businesses are set to compete for 20 awards in October after the 2019 Peak Connect Carillon Business Awards finalists were announced on Tuesday.

The announcement, which took place at the Bathurst RSL Club, saw 45 businesses named as finalists, ranging from seasoned award winners to emerging newcomers.
Vanessa Pringle Floral Designs, who won two awards at last year's event, has secured a finalist spot in seven categories, while Macquarie Medi Spa received six nominations.
Other noteworthy nominees include Bathurst Academy of Music, Vivability and The Persuader with five apiece, as well as The Victoria Bathurst and Burilda Park Equine, who each earned four nods.
Bathurst Business Chamber secretary Stephen Harper said the finalists provide a diverse snapshot of the organisations who go above and beyond to serve the community.
"There's been some outstanding submissions for this year's event, and the finalists have proven their worth to the Bathurst community," Mr Harper said.
"We've introduced a new category at this year's event [#keepitlocalbx] to recognise the businesses who have strived to keep buying power within the Bathurst region."
The finalists were selected from around 600 separate submissions.
