The Performing Arts Academy will allow students to study the disciplines of music, dance, drama and media in a collaborative environment focused on providing real-world experience.
"The typical 21st century performing arts student is different from those of yesteryear, as they are now capable of producing a performance in their own home that could go viral online," Scots All Saints College head of music and performance Jon Clipsham said.
"We're excited to create an environment that will bring different types of students together to enhance their understanding for the arts under the tutelage of staff and industry professionals."
The academy is a first for regional NSW schools, and will provide students with a more holistic approach to stage performance and entertainment.
"We've recently installed a recording studio for students to create music and media material, and it allows them to produce quality content up to industry standard," Mr Clipsham said.
"Through the combination of performing arts disciplines, we hope to put students on the right path for careers in creative fields."
College headmaster John Weeks said the academy is part of the school's approach towards a modernised learning environment.
"Performing arts has grown in popularity among regional NSW schools over the last 20 years, and we see this academy becoming a vital component of our overall curriculum," Mr Weeks said.
