TWO teams who have been hard to separate all year and who have developed one the city's best sporting rivalries - It only felt appropriate that Sunday's Bathurst District Football women's premier league season grand final came down to a penalty shoot-out.

And in the end it was CSU FC who prevailed over Panorama FC 5-3 on penalties in a tense conclusion to the match that finished 3-all at the end of extra-time.
CSU were well down in both possession and shots on goal but they made their opportunities count on the big stage.
Maddy Gallegos scored a hat-trick for Panorama and could have added even more to her name if not for the efforts of CSU goalkeeper Bridie Gordon.
"Extra-time, penalties and going down to the wire like that, I can't be prouder of the girls," CSU co-coach Ryan Burgoyne said.
"This has been a hard-fought year and we got the result.
"We didn't take shots too often but the ones we took came off some nice passages of passing, which is what we've been working on."

The opening half hour of the match belonged to Panorama.
CSU were fortunate not to concede in the eighth minute when a cross from Gallegos forced a stop from Gordon.
Further Panorama pressure led the breakthrough shortly after, as a handball off a Sarah Browning shot gave Gallegos the chance to open the scoring from the spot.
Gordon produced a great stop but Gallegos was on the scene to poke the rebound into the net.
The Vixens' response in the 31st minute came completely against the run of play.
Panorama failed to clear the ball following a blocked shot and Sarah Evans pounced on the opportunity to level the scores.
Evans was involved in the second of the Vixens' goals shortly before half-time.
A pass from the midfield put Evans into plenty of space down the right wing and she lined up a pinpoint cross to Emily Thurlow.
CSU were quickly reintroduced to the Gallegos show just three minutes into the new half.
Gallegos was left unmarked in the box and her tapped volley sailed into the top right corner of the net.
Taleisha Bartlett almost put Panorama two ahead when she weaved through a pair of Vixens defenders but Gordon stopped the shot from a tight angle.
A misread from Panorama goalkeeper Brooke Inwood on a long range Minna Annand bomb into the box saw CSU go up 3-2 with just 20 minutes remaining.
The Nannies didn't drop their heads, almost finding replies through Browning and Georgia Bennett.
Once again it was Gallegos who delivered when it mattered most, latching onto the end of a long ball and finishing around Gordon with seven minutes remaining.
Nothing could separate the clubs for the rest of regular and extra-time.
Both teams were perfect through the opening seven combined attempts in the shoot-out.
When Gordon scrambled to make a successful block on Panorama's fourth penalty it set up Lydia Nancarrow to kick the winner.
