THEY are both champions in their own right for season 2019, but the question remains as to which CSU club - the Mungoes or the Mustards - is the real university heavyweight.

That question will be answered on Tuesday night at University Oval in the annual Mungoes versus Mustards Challenge.
The CSU Mungoes were this year crowned champions of the New Era Cup, beating the Orange Barbarians 30-0 at Diggings Oval on grand final day.
Callum Flanagan and Lachie Balcombe each bagged a brace of tries in the win, which came after the Mungoes had finished runners-up to Wallerawang and Blackheath in the two seasons prior.
Not to be outdone, the Mustards were crowned New Holland Cup champions after a remarkable victory over defending premiers and hot favourites Narromine.
A Jack Keppel penalty goal inside the final minute secured the rousing 30-29 win - ending a 15-year Central West Rugby Union title drought for CSU's first XV.
But as has been the case for the last six years, once the Central West Rugby Union and New Era league seasons are over the students still have one battle - between themselves - to face.
The Mustards won last year's challenge - played with league rules - but on Tuesday night the Mungoes will be keen to square the ledger.

This year's game will also have a charity focus with all proceedings from the game going towards the organisation 'Might & Mane' - an organisation focusing on mental health which was formed by two ex-CSU students.
"Might and Mane has a real special meaning to a lot of us at CSU. One of our old club presidents, Charlie Newton, helped create it so we want to give back to him," vice president of CSU Mitchell Rugby, Daniel Adamson, said.
To raise money, players from each team will be shaving their heads after the game.
If Mungoes win, Adamson and Aden Macdougall from the Mustards will be shaving their heads. Balcombe will be shaving his hair if the CSU's rugby union outfit gets the nod.
But before the Mungoes and Mustards square off, there will be another battle of the students.
It will be to decide which of CSU's women's teams - the Mungals or Custards - will claim university bragging rights.
The Mungals head into the clash as defending champions, having taken out the inaugural female challenge last year.
In the New Era league tag competition the two Mungals sides - Yellow and Blue - both qualified for the grand final.
Yellow won the decider 4-0 on the back of an April Rich try.
In the Central West Rugby Union's Ferguson Cup competition, the Custards fell one win short of making the grand final.
After surviving two weeks of sudden death finals rugby, they went down by a point to Orange Emus in the preliminary final.
The women's match mark the start of the 2019 challenge when it kicks off at 6.30pm at University Oval, with the men's game to follow at 7.30pm.
