Apartment owners in Sydney's cracked Mascot Towers have pleaded for the NSW government to help fund remediation work before the building suffers further damage.

Better Regulation Minister Kevin Anderson and Premier Gladys Berejiklian were asked about providing low interest loans in parliament on Tuesday.
But apartment owner Brian Tucker, who was in the public gallery said he was "very disappointed" in their answers to the questions from Labor which made him feel "fobbed off".
Residents of the 132 apartments were evacuated in mid-June due to cracking in the primary support structure and facade masonry.
Owners previously passed a motion to raise a special levy worth $7 million plus GST for stage one rectification works which were to begin on September 30.
But Mr Tucker on Tuesday said owners didn't have to money to pay between $5000 and $14,000 per month for the work.
"The banks aren't lending because there's no equity in the building at the moment," he told reporters.
"These repairs have to start because our engineer has advised us that the building could suffer further damage if these repairs aren't started by the end of September."
Mr Anderson in parliament outlined what the government had done to help owners, and said a three-month accommodation support package announced in June would be extended by another six months.
He said works next to Mascot Towers were believed to have contributed to the building's problems and owners are now pursuing insurance companies to claim against the work next door.
"We implore on those insurance companies now, they should crack on, release the funding from their insurance claims so they can get on with that rectification work," he said.
In a letter to strata committee members earlier this month, Mr Anderson said he understood owners were given an option to secure a strata loan for remediation work which would be paid back over up to 15 years.
"Given the cash-flow concerns raised by the owners corporation, I strongly urge you to revisit all options that have been made available to owners which would allow them to contribute to the remediation costs without falling into immediate financial hardship," the letter said.
Deputy Labor leader Yasmin Catley said owners were in a "dire situation with nowhere to turn".
"The building commissioner will be coming out, hopefully soon, with some answers but today can I say that it's an opportunity for the government to do the right thing," she told reporters on Tuesday.
