Australian Boomers veteran Andrew Bogut has until Wednesday to provide a statement to basketball's governing body FIBA following his foul-mouthed tirade against the organisation at the World Cup.

Bogut intimated FIBA officials were conspiring against Australia after he was called for a foul during the Boomers double-overtime semi-final loss to eventual champions Spain in China early this month.
The NBA and NBL star raised his arms and rubbed his fingers together after the call, a gesture that could be interpreted as money changing hands.
After the match Bogut walked through the media zone and launched a string of expletives while accusing the Switzerland-based FIBA of cheating.
Basketball Australia confirmed Bogut has been asked by FIBA to provide an explanation for his outburst.
It's unknown if he will face a hearing on Wednesday or later in the week but he has until 8pm (AEST) to supply a statement.
