For the last two decades, Crazy Day has promoted the importance of shopping locally and in recent years, the event has become a core feature of Bathurst's BizMonth initiative.
Red Chair Boutique owner Robyn Robertson said Crazy Day is a tradition many local retailers look forward to each year.
"It's a good way to give people in the community an opportunity to grab a bargain," Ms Robertson said.
"We've been involved since we opened nine years ago, and the sale allows us to let go of excess stock."
Red Chair Boutique will have a host of items on sale, including clothing, jewellery, cushions and handbags, with prices ranging from $2 to $20.
REVISIT PAST YEARS: A look back at the last decade of Crazy Day
Gorgeousness is also set to join in on the Crazy Day festivities, with owner Bron Aberley promising a grand host of discounted stock.
"We plan to be stacked up to the hilt with bargains, with some items 70 to 90 per cent off," Ms Aberley said.
Ms Aberley said Crazy Day plays a significant role in highlighting the benefits of shopping locally.
"The event is a positive way to recuperate money into the Bathurst community," she said.
Crazy Day is a joint promotion between the Western Advocate, Prime 7 and Bathurst Regional Council.
Shoppers who purchase an item at a participating retailer will go into the draw to win one of 10 $1000 Visa gift cards, with winners to be drawn on September 30.
