John Smailes - who has been covering the action at Mount Panorama for more than 40 years - will be at the library to discuss his new book, Mount Panorama Bathurst - The Stories Behind The Legend.
The book takes readers into the pits, workshops and boardrooms to reveal the stories behind the racing circuit's development, and the champions and legendary races that have made it famous.
"We know there are many local library members who are keen race enthusiasts and will be eager to meet John and hear about his new book," library services manager Patou Clerc said.
"During race week, lots of out-of-town race fans also visit the library to use our computers and other services, so we hope they'll also come to this talk and see the replica of the 1963 winning Cortina GT we have on display."
