Sayer has recently returned to Australia from a series of sold-out tour dates in the United Kingdom, and is looking forward to performing for a host of regional audiences.
"The reaction to our last Australian tour was fantastic and we immediately received requests to do more shows," he said.
"I've never performed in Bathurst before, so I'm looking forward to taking audiences on a journey through my career."
Sayer's music career has spawned numerous hits including 'Thunder In My Heart,' 'When I Need You' and 'You Make Me Feel Like Dancing,' which won a Grammy award in 1978 for Best R&B Song.

Along with the hits, Sayer will also perform material from his latest album Selfie, which saw him assume sole songwriting and production duties for the first time.
"With Selfie, I felt it was time to apply all the knowledge I've picked up throughout my career to produce a record on my own," he said.
"The record allowed me to bring a personalised human element into the music that would've been disturbed if I'd had outside influences."
Selfie's title track takes inspiration from the current Brexit negotiations taking place in the UK and Sayer, who became an Australian citizen a decade ago, wanted the song to serve as a message of solidarity to his country of origin.
"The European connection is terribly important to the UK, and we shouldn't be separating ourselves at a time where unity and strength in foreign relations is essential," he said.
"I feel it's important for songwriters to stay in tune with current events, and I see the song 'Selfie' as a love letter to Britain from an exile's point of view."
Sayer will be accompanied by his all-star band for the performance and hopes to provide audiences with a high-energy concert.
The performance will get under way at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre from 8pm. Tickets cost $84 and are available from bmec.com.au.
