About time someone spoke up about the size of rural electorates.
How can one member effectively represent an electorate half the size of NSW as Mark Coulton does in Parkes or Roy Butler does in the state electorate of Barwon?
The electoral commission doesn't want a gerrymander but it has saddled rural voters with a geographic gerrymander that looks to cement social and economic disadvantage to those who live outside metropolitan areas.
