The neglect of regional and rural areas has been an ongoing problem.
I don't think establishing a gerrymander is the solution.
Members of parliament from rural areas need to cross the floor more often and be more vocal against their so-called partners in the Coalition.

It was far better when New England had independent MPs in both the state and federal parliaments.
However, the really big rural seats should have special allowances made for MPs to travel around, and better communications (when am I going to get a reasonable broadband?).
