It is because he will share his 23Red Racing Mustang with his brother Alex for the third time in his career. Davison also feels they have the potential to stand on the podium together.
"It's special, we're very privileged to do the sport that we both love and something we're very proud of," Will Davison said.
"We've got incredible passion amongst our family. You grow up racing with each other and really wanting each other to do well. Now we have the chance to drive together in the greatest race in Australia.
"This is our best chance together ... to be honest we've never quite had the package or the opportunity that we've got now. We finished fourth there in 2014, but we haven't had the car or the speed underneath us yet. We certainly do now, so that's cool.
"I can feel we're both very focused and that it's our best shot to have success at the mountain.
"It's a race where anything can happen, so I'm open-minded and ready to grab any opportunity. The car has been great all year so I can't wait to let it loose around the mountain. The aim is to be right amongst it come Sunday afternoon, so we'll give it our best shot."

Alex shares the opinion of his brother that this Sunday is the best package they have had for the 161-lap epic.
When sharing the Erebus Mercedes in 2014-15 they placed fourth and 12th respectively, while last year in a Ford Falcon they ran 19th.
"With Will and the team running so well I'm super exited to be heading into the enduros this year. It will be the most competitive car I've had at Bathurst in a long time, maybe ever, so obviously Will and I will be doing all we can to put together a solid weekend," he said.
"It goes without saying that we would love to stand on the podium together at Bathurst, and we'll be giving it our all to do that this year."
