AS I gaze along the Vale Road and the Vale Creek floodplain I think about the current severe drought and the communities along the Macquarie River that already have or will soon have severe water restrictions imposed.

My gaze is transfixed by the huge boom sprays that pour astonishing amounts of water onto some of the lucerne fields abutting both road and creek, the latter being a mere trickle with some ponds of still water.

Mindful of the people who are suffering so severely under the current conditions of water shortage I am angry about the appalling waste of our most precious resource.
It might be legal but is it moral?
