'Let's Go' is the first new song from the duo since the release of their debut album, Subtitles, last year.
Momentum, featuring Dave Webb and Lauren Hagney, has enjoyed plenty of commercial radio play since Subtitles' release, and said the new song echoes the excitement of the Bathurst 1000.
"The song came about through fiddling around on guitar, and it was a happy coincidence that the track had a particular racing feel to it," Webb said.
"We write a lot of rock music and being Bathurst locals, it's great to capture the energy of the town during race week in a song," Hagney added.
The song features an energetic guitar tone reflecting a need for speed, and local radio station B-Rock will feature the track heavily during their broadcast of the Bathurst 1000.
"On a personal level, the song is relevant to life itself in the sense that it's very 'get up and go," Webb said.
"We're thrilled to be receiving support from B-Rock for the song, and it'll hopefully expand our music to a new audience," Hagney added.
Subtitles introduced local audiences to a concise collection of Momentum's sound for the first time and in the year since its release, Hagney said the album has generated a positive response.
"It's wonderful to see a lot of people finding our music on streaming services and giving it a listen," she said.
"There's even been a number of people who have used the Shazam app to identify our music in the event they don't know who we are."
The duo recently won the Best Live Entertainment award at the 2019 Central West Brides Choice Awards, marking their second consecutive win in the category.
