The Screaming Jets, best known for their 1991 hit 'Better,' led the crowd through a powerful rendition of the anthem, and were greeted with a loud round of applause.
"We've done it once before, but the energy in the crowd today was unreal," Gleeson said.
"There was an incredible vibe, it was electric," Woseen added.
Gleeson has been a fan of the Bathurst 1000 since he was seven years old, and said few motor racing events compare to the spectacle of the Mount.
"There was a time there where people lost interest when the Ford Sierras were introduced but once they brought the V8's back, the event has been brilliant ever since," he said.
