MOTORISTS have been warned to expect delays as new roadworks are carried out in the Bathurst CBD, starting this weekend.

Changed traffic conditions will be in place at the intersection of Durham and William streets for maintenance and safety improvement work.
Lane closures will be in place while an upgrade to the traffic lights takes place, including the installation of red light left turn arrows to improve pedestrian safety.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Roads and Maritime Services plans to carry out the work between 9pm and 5am from Sunday to Friday, weather permitting, to minimise the impact on motorists.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and road users.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and to follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
