At this time of year, we say goodbye and good luck to many of our student programmers.
These students have contributed to 2MCE over and above their course requirements, balancing their commitments to 2MCE with their studies, part-time jobs and busy lives.
Thank you to the following students: Adam (Thursday Drive), Alex (Unleashed), Andrew, (BackBeat) Angie, Apryl, Claire, Darcy, Jack, Kate K, Kate L, Lucie, Angus, Pat, Laura and Matthew (Talking Newspaper and special programming), Ben, Chris, Liam and Harry (The Playlist), Mitch, Roan and Bill (Kickons), Brigit and Daisy (Let's Get It On) Bri and Taylor (Hits and Gigs), Daniel and Drew (Football Fever), Erin (The Week in Politics), Reuben and Xanthe (PolitiKnow), Rowan (It's Not A Phase, Mum), Sophie G and Sophie S (The Sophies).
Some of these programs will continue over summer, some will return next year and some students are graduating and leaving 2MCE.
To be a part of these students' radio journeys is such a privilege and, you never know, with the outstanding CSU degree under their belt and 2MCE experience, these students are well set for a bright future. Remember their names.
New voices
THERE are a number of programming proposals being reviewed by the 2MCE Programming Sub-Committee, so stay tuned to hear some new voices on air soon.
If you would like to get involved in the activities of 2MCE, and maybe host a drive-timeslot program over summer, please contact us at 2mce@csu.edu.au.
We'd love to hear from you.
Kids on the air
NEXT week our Schools On Breaky segment, will feature students from Cathedral Catholic Primary School co-hosting with Tim Williams.
Students will read the weather, choose some great music for you and discuss the development of development of Bathurst and the Central West.
What will change? What do they hope will stay the same?
Tune in from 8am Monday.
