The workshops will teach gardeners tips to keep their garden blooming while complying with the region's extreme water restrictions.
Mayor Bobby Bourke said council was keen to help residents understand how to get the most out of the limited amount water available for gardens.

"The workshops, presented by qualified horticulturalist Dhyan Blore, will cover a range of topics designed to give gardeners as much information as possible about how to keep their gardens alive as we move into summer and extreme water restrictions," Cr Bourke said.
"Council is holding a series of workshops between now and December to give as many people as possible a chance to attend one of the sessions."
Each workshop runs for between one-and-a-half and two hours and covers a range of topics, including:
- Caring for plants in dry times.
- Maximising water in gardens and plants.
- The importance of mulch.
- Features of drought-tolerant plants.
- Water for backyard birds and wildlife.
- Using grey water on gardens.
Coming workshops will be held on Thursday, October 24 at 10am; Saturday, November at 2pm; Monday, November 11 at 10am; Tuesday, November 19 at 10am; Wednesday, December at 10am; Saturday, December 7 at 2pm; and Wednesday, December 11 at 10am
All workshops will be held at Rahamim Ecology Centre, 34 Busby Street, South Bathurst.
