Chugg Entertainment told the Western Advocate last week that a change to the capacity of Carrington Park for the Sir Elton show meant 2000 standing-on-the-hill spaces and 400 "Sapphire" seats at the back of the field could be added.
And those "Sapphire" seats were quickly snapped up by keen Sir Elton fans since extra tickets became available on Monday morning.
"Tickets sold really well on Monday," a representative from Chugg Entertainment said.
"The Sapphire seats are basically gone, but there's still standing-on-the-hill tickets available."
While there's still tickets remaining, Chugg Entertainment did confirm that the most recent release of tickets is the last one.
"We expect these will sell out by the end of the week, as the word spreads," the representative said.
"They're selling quickly, so fans shouldn't delay.
"It's the final release and means this is the last big chance to get tickets."
With the final release of tickets, it's now expected that a crowd of more than 20,000 could pack into Carrington Park, which would be a record for the venue.
Carrington Park usually hosts rugby league and the current record for the venue is 10,973, which was set in March, 2019, when the Melbourne Storm defeated the Penrith Panthers in round three action of the National Rugby League.
It was originally announced back in February, 2019, that Sir Elton would be coming to Bathurst, one of only six regional venues on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour of Australia, in which he will say goodbye to life on the road.
The music icon, known for hits including Crocodile Rock, Tiny Dancer and Can You Feel The Love Tonight, will perform at Bathurst on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, but the show will be preceded by six days of set-up.
The other regional locations on Sir Elton's Australian leg of his farewell tour are the Hunter Valley's Hope Estate, Rutherglen's All Saints Estate, Rochford Wines in the Yarra Valley, Sirromet Wines south-east of Brisbane and Victoria's Hanging Rock.
Sir Elton is currently touring North America and is set to perform at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on October 23-24.
