The performers have been preparing for months for their production of Disney's Aladdin Jr and say they are now ready to take audiences on a magic carpet ride.

Carillon Junior Theatrical Society's Bronwyn Colley says the cast of "65 super-excited students" is led by Max Kendrick (Aladdin), Daniel Van Klooster (Genie), Grace Egan (Princess Jasmine), Will Arnold (Jafar), Laura Martin-Clark (Iago), Ray Cross (Sultan) and Aladdin's pals, Liam Gildea (Kassim), Brodie Wolfe (Babkak) and Bayden Wolfe (Omar).
"As well, there is a host of fabulous supporting characters and ensemble parts and they are busily rehearsing for their opening performance at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre in just one week," she said.

School shows, with limited public seating available, will be at 10am on Thursday and Friday, October 31 and November 1.
Public shows will follow at 11am and 3pm on Saturday and Sunday, November 2 and 3.
"The show is jam-packed with colourful hand-made costumes, catchy tunes and amazing sets, props and effects," Mrs Colley said.
